Terms & Conditions

1. Parties

These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between Foambox Detailing, operated by Rocco van Wyk ("Foambox", "we", "us") and any client who books or uses our services ("you", "the client"). By booking a service you agree to these terms.

2. Bookings and appointments

  • All bookings are by appointment only and confirmed via WhatsApp or email.
  • A booking is only confirmed once you receive written confirmation from Foambox.
  • We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to circumstances beyond our control (load-shedding, weather, equipment failure). We will notify you as soon as possible.
  • Please arrive at the agreed time. Late arrivals of more than 30 minutes may result in rescheduling.

3. Cancellations and rescheduling

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee of up to 20% of the quoted service price.
  • No-shows will be charged the full cancellation fee.
  • Rescheduling with more than 24 hours' notice is free of charge.

4. Pricing and payment

  • All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.
  • Quotes are valid for 7 days from the date of issue.
  • Full payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We accept EFT, cash, and card payments. Proof of payment must be provided for EFT.
  • Ownership of any coatings, films, or materials applied to the vehicle remains with Foambox until full payment is received.

5. Vehicle condition and pre-existing damage

  • We will inspect your vehicle upon intake and document any pre-existing damage.
  • You are responsible for disclosing all known existing damage, modifications, or conditions before the service begins.
  • Foambox is not liable for damage that was pre-existing or that results from undisclosed modifications or prior repairs of inferior quality.
  • We reserve the right to decline a service if the vehicle condition makes it unsafe or impossible to achieve the expected result.

6. Ceramic coatings and warranties

  • Ceramic coating warranties are provided by the product manufacturer (Nasiol) and are subject to their specific terms.
  • Warranty validity requires adherence to our aftercare instructions, including washing frequency and approved products.
  • Foambox offers a workmanship guarantee: if you are dissatisfied with the application within 7 days, contact us and we will assess and remedy the issue at no charge.
  • Warranties are non-transferable and apply only to the original vehicle owner.

7. Liability

  • Foambox takes all reasonable care while your vehicle is in our possession. We carry appropriate insurance for vehicles in our care, custody, and control.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the service paid for.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages including loss of use of the vehicle.
  • Vehicles left with us overnight are secured but left entirely at the owner's risk.

8. Photography and social media

We may photograph your vehicle for quality control and marketing purposes. We will seek your consent before posting identifiable photos publicly. By granting consent you grant Foambox a royalty-free licence to use those images on our website and social media channels.

9. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) or any other applicable South African legislation. If there is a conflict between these terms and the CPA, the CPA prevails.

10. Disputes

In the event of a dispute, please contact us first so we can attempt to resolve it informally. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts and governed by South African law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
